2001 – 2020 - Zohar Amir joined Elul in 2001, after his retirement from the Israel Defense Forces as a Full Colonel.

Zohar Amir leads Elul’s Army, Army Technologies & Logistic, Law & Order-oriented local & foreign Industries and Institutions.

His last post in the IDF was that of assistant to the head of the IDF Planning Branch, Strategic Planning & Infrastructure Issues; responsible for IDF formulation of strategic political-military policy between the IDF, its neighbors and allies and infrastructure

Prior to that, Zohar Amir led Army’s Force Build-Up branch.

Zohar Amir was a commander of the 264 Merkava Tank Brigade at his last combat posting in a career that dates back to 1979.
